The chapa is an extremely versatile cooking tool set right into your fire and has limitless possibilities. Much like a cast iron griddle, the chapa are great for cooking steak, chicken, vegetables, or even a big breakfast. Cooking over an open fire for a group can be the center piece of the party itself.
The chapa is 3/8" thick mild steel with a cooking area of 24x30 inches. The outer edges are bent up providing a lip to keep all the flavors in while at the same time allowing you to easily scrape it clean. It sits on 14 inch tall stout steel legs And has large carrying handles. A two person carry will make life much easier.
They can be made in most sizes. Smaller ones are available for those not needing as much cooking area or those wanting to keep the weight down to increase its mobility.
Check out the blog for different cooking ideas. Its one of my favorite ways to cook.
